Palmer Lake Historical Society Third Thursday

The Palmer Lake Historical Society will present Pikes Peak Community College Professor of History Katherine Scott Sturdevant telling the story of Emma F. Langdon, “Hidden Hero of the Printing Press,” during the 1904 miners’ strike in Victor, Colorado on April 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Lake Town Hall (28 Valley Crescent St., Palmer Lake).  Learn why Langdon is considered second only to her friend “Mother Jones” among noted women working with miners’ rights in the early 1900s.  Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.  Palmer Lake Historical Society events and programs are free and open to all.  Visit www.palmerdividehistory.org for more information.
